The year 2020 is one that all of us will remember, including small business owners such as myself. Although the pandemic did initially result in almost two to three months of almost no activity for Marketing 4 Health, things did take a turn for the better once the medical companies started to implement their own sales and marketing policies that would allow them to continue to promote their health products and services in a safe way. New clients gave me the opportunity to translate COVID-19 marketing messages to French and to write an article about the process that Health Canada took to speed up the approval of the COVID-19 vaccine while maintaining a strong focus on safety. The article was published in the Canadian Journal for Nurse Practitioners. I am very proud to have been able to participate in communicating accurate information regarding COVID-19 that could help the general public and the healthcare community during this time of need.
As a small business owner, I realize that I got lucky with all the projects that were being sent my way. My small healthcare communications business was able to thrive during a time where so many others weren’t so fortunate.
